How I Designed Adori Labs’ Ad Campaign Manager into a $4.7M Revenue Stream
Podcast ad campaigns can be incredibly messy to run. From creating flights, targeting shows, and tracking impressions, to managing billing and audio uploads — advertisers were juggling multiple tools like Megaphone and Libsyn, each with steep learning curves and fragmented workflows. Adori wanted to give creators, advertisers, and publishers a single, intuitive platform to create, manage, and measure audio ads — while also supporting advanced capabilities like video tagging, Android Auto, and CarPlay integration.

What I Did
I partnered directly with Adori’s co-founder to:
Lead end-to-end UX design for the Ad Campaign Manager & Audio Ads Platform.
Conduct secondary research (Megaphone, Libsyn) and user interviews via calls to uncover pain points.
Own information architecture — mapping complex ad workflows into logical, user-friendly flows.
Design and iterate interactive prototypes in Figma, refining after every round of feedback.
Integrate advanced features like AI-generated tags for interactive timelines.
If it shipped in the final product, I designed it.

Why This Was Important
Let’s roleplay: Imagine you’re a podcast network trying to run a holiday ad campaign across 50 shows. Where do you start? Which episodes should you target? How do you measure performance? Before Adori, you’d be lost in spreadsheets, external tools, and manual reporting. Now, you can: Create a campaign Target shows and specific episodes Upload audio to an interactive timeline Forecast impressions and CPAs … all in one place.
From Fragmented To Unified
Before:
Juggle 3+ tools (Megaphone, Libsyn, spreadsheets).
No central place to see campaign status.
After:
One platform.
Full campaign lifecycle control — from creation → targeting → analytics → billing.

Research & Insights
Through competitor analysis and calls with early adopters, I discovered: Users hated switching between tools to compare campaigns. Forecasting impressions by show and episode was a top priority. Placeholders for “empty states” weren’t just decorative — they guided first-time users to create campaigns without confusion.

Design Evolution
Early Versions: Focused on feature parity with competitors, but the flow felt disjointed.
Iterations: Reduced clicks, grouped related actions, improved discoverability of targeting & forecasting features.
Final Product: Balanced rich capabilities with an intuitive, guided flow for first-time and power users alike.

Key Takeaways & Learnings
No direct competitor meant no ready-made design patterns — I had to pull inspiration from adjacent industries and adapt them. Iterating quickly with the co-founder meant balancing bold innovation with practical feasibility. AI-generated tagging for audio timelines became an unexpected UX win — turning a complex manual process into a few clicks. If I did it again? I’d run more contextual inquiries with advertisers in the act of setting up their campaigns to catch hidden friction earlier.
